ukulele dreams

I'm starting an all-girl band! Betcha didn't see that one coming, did you? Well it's not entirely true. Here's part two of my photo excursion with Jessie for her final photography project: designing the tour poster for a music group.

william klein

If you don't know who William Klein is, go look him up right this minute. Not only is he a genius, but he was also the inspiration for my friend Jessie's photography project. We transformed a casual weekday evening into the backdrop for an amazing twilight shoot. And what better to wear than a beautiful vintage tulle gown with armfuls of gold jewelry? Absolutely nothing tops that.

wednesdays shouldn't be ordinary

Sporting my signature fabric made today ten times more fun than an ordinary Wednesday would normally be. That's chiffon for those of you who didn't catch on. And pairing the skirt with a mesh crop top gave it the edge I was looking for to contrast the girly skirt. I have a love-hate relationship with high-low skirts. On one hand I'm entirely over them. But then again, when they're done right, they look really right. And who can argue with the simplicity of a side braid and a gold necklace. In other news, after a few more weeks of classes and a handful of exams, I will begin my summer fashion design/production internship in (you guessed it) The Big Apple. More details to follow! :)

introspection

This week has been crazy. Not in the overloaded with work sense, or the crazy party sense, although those are the two most typically associated with the college mindset. Just in the sense that there's been a lot of extraneous thinking, a handful of mind-blowing concepts, and much more Hemingway. So since this craziness has clearly impeded my ability to create an original, thought-provoking post and since I'm in a Media & Society mindset after class today, here are some of my most recent Instagram posts. And just to note, although I do not personally have a Facebook account, you can like my Facebook page and get updates on new posts and new developments on the blog. See below for links to all of my social media accounts as well.

perfection

The idea of perfection does not often have the capacity to be represented by reality. Although, being at the beach on a random Tuesday wearing nothing but a bathing suit and a Free People dress with my best friends pretty much sums it up. Let me tell you something about the three silhouetted figures in the last picture. Those are the kind of friends that you go to college for. They're the ones who laugh with (and at) you, the ones you can talk to for hours and not get bored with, and the ones who celebrate your accomplishments with you. And that's what's most important. That and epic hair flips.
